Integrated Online Recruitment System
As part of my internship with the User Experience Design team in Info Edge India Ltd, I got an opportunity to work on the leading online recruitment portal in India Naukri.com. Naukri portal is an online data base of 28 million registered job seekers and more than 50,000 companies who access the portal for hiring activities. There are 2 lakh jobs live at any point of time.
I was working on the product for Recruiters. The project helped in increasing the overall user experience, taking the offline behaviours to online, and completely revamped the user flow adding the requirements and needs which were even unaware to the users.
The project included a complete cycle of design starting from domain study, understanding of system, competitor analysis, user research, conceptualization, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping and testing the concept with users.
The detailed are not to be published online.
Mobile For Elderly
The project showcases a product for old people where in the whole experience of using a diary is replicated in a mobile phone. The contacts can be added by using stylus as if like using a pen. The name is been saved as image as older people remembers the contacts in a diary through the form, underlines and the thickness of the font etc. Making a call, dragging a contact to any position can be done. The pages are organized in alphabetical order for the ease to navigate but within the page the contacts can be arranged according to the user’s preference.
Ethnographic Research on Telemedicine in Rural India
The project comprised of studying and analysing Telemedicine network in India and identify the areas where Design Intervention is needed. Starting with literature review, possible information sources and stakeholders were identified. This was followed by interviews and discussions with stakeholders, with analysis of the same, thereafter. The inference were used to develop a system based on the Anganwadi network to provide health care from the Primary Health (PHC) to the people in rural areas.
A Printed Guide for Kerala Tourism
As an Information Architecture project, my idea was to make a printed guide for the tourism department of Kerala which aims to reduce the cognitive load on the user and enable quick decision making. The guide provides information on travel, accommodation, contact details of the important individuals and organizations etc. based on user’s native, interest area and period of stay. It also contains brief description about major tourist spot, cultural events, art forms, leisure activities and other experiences.
Information Visualization
This is an interactive visualization to compare the cricket players of any period, compare the peak periods of players and to compare between any number of matches from the timeline. The user can zoom in to the required band on the timeline by using the slider control. He can zoom in, zoom out or move the slider itself for comparison. He can even zoom into a particular match and do comparison.
There are n number of areas of interest for a cricket fan. Centuries & Half Centuries, total runs, strike rate, number of 6s & 4s, total number of matches, number of man of the match, partnership records etc are the major interests for a batsman. The timeline is dynamic to show - all matches of the career highlighting centuries and half centuries / only centuries and half centuries / only centuries which are to be pre-selected.
Keeping this visualization as the landing screen the user can click on a particular match, can see the match details, score card and highlights of the match which are hyperlinked.
Motorcycle Audiotainment Concept
Unlike the four wheeler’s the Motor Cycle lacks the facilities for any entertainment system which can be used while riding. The project looks at developing an easy to use audiotainment system which can play music from an inbuilt radio or music from a Bluetooth device. The audio control is on the handlebar considering the ergonomic factors involved. The user is given the minimum variable functionalities to use while riding. The display and the buttons are dynamic based on the mode of usage and it shows the status information along with the bike information.
weTalk
It is a mobile application targeted at any community they wish to chat through instant messages without using internet technology. This is a method to do offline social networking. The application will work from lower end to high end smart phones. The chat is powered by normal SMS functionality provided by mobile connection providers.
Project Saral - User Research & Interaction Design
The project aimed at developing an ERP solution for NID. We interviewed people varying from students, faculties, course coordinators, staff, admin people etc. to record the different tasks and process flows in which they are a part of. Finally we came into the UI level for each personas wherein he can log in and be a part of the process which is going to be online.
Signage & Way finding
Signage for a Virtual Space - Aimed at designing way finding for a virtually designed space for a premium textile outlet, Shoppers Stop.
Signage for IISc - Started with recording the existing signage system in IISc, analysed and identified the problems in terms of navigation, graphics, color, font used, positioning, orientation, heights and consistency. Designed the new signage system solving the problems.
The Intruder
This video is an animation done through stop motion method, by drawing frames on a white board, and clicking each frames. Almost 350 frames where made for this. Editing and mixing is done by using video editing software Adobe After effects. Conceptualization and making the perspective motion effect throughout the frames were challenging as well as interesting for me. I should also mention the gratitude to my partner who worked for this project.
